CHILI COOK-OFF COMPETITION
The first Chili Cook-off was held in 1994 at River Horse Brewery. It was cold, snowy, unheated and extremely popular. In 2007, after a year’s hiatus the popular event was resurrected and found a new home at Occasions, inside plumbing and heat have been a wonderful addition.
The event continues to feature the finest restaurants in town and an extremely loyal following. Four years ago, our reigning champion, Jamie Hollander suggested adding a new prize to the competition: Trophies! The competition has heated up ever since with local restaurants vying for a spot each year.
Vote for your favorite chili in the People’s Choice competition. Each person gets 3 votes and deciding where to place your votes is never easy. Before we open the doors and let everyone in, our team of judges sits down to score each entry to determine the winner of the Judge’s Choice competition.
